Shared vs retail
Retail licenses from the vendor are the baseline price. Shared licenses exist because that baseline is expensive when you run many VPS or dedicated nodes. The product on the server is the same class of software hosts use in production — the difference is how licensing cost is shared.

- Run the one-command install from the client area over SSH
- Confirm the panel or addon shows an active license
The installer updates license-related components only. It does not wipe accounts, databases, or websites. Change the licensed IP in the client area when you migrate servers.
Stay away from opaque “license scripts”
