How do I install the license?
Copy the one-line install command from the client area and run it as root over SSH. Most installs finish in under a minute. Prefer help? Open a ticket.
Why not use other licensing systems?
Many unofficial licensing systems are opaque: unknown installers (often a blind curl | bash), binary patches, or remote agents you did not choose. Those paths are a common way servers pick up backdoors, data exfiltration, or sudden breakage when detection changes.LicenseBoy is built for hosting operators. Activation uses a documented one-command install that updates license-related components only — not your accounts, databases, or websites. Can I change the server IP?
Yes. Within policy you usually get up to 3 free IP changes. Update the IP in the client area, then rerun the install command. Need more? Open a ticket.
Can I create unlimited cPanel accounts?
Yes. There is no account cap from the license — your limit is server resources.
What is the difference between Cloud and Metal plans?
Cloud (VPS) is for virtual / cloud servers (VPS). Metal (Dedicated) is for bare-metal dedicated servers. Match the plan to the machine you are licensing — same naming as cPanel’s Cloud vs Metal seats.
Do updates or reboots break the license?
Normal product updates and reboots are fine. After a rebuild, OS migrate, or IP change, rerun the install command from the client area.
What happens if my invoice is overdue?
Pay on time and the license keeps working. If an invoice is overdue, licensing can stop until the account is current. Renew, then reinstall if needed.
What is the refund policy?
If we cannot fix a verified license issue, you can request a refund within 7 days. “Changed my mind” after a successful install is different — read the refund policy before buying.
How do I get support?
Support is by ticket in the client area only. Include your service ID and server IP.
